Privacy policy

Aposl runs aposl.us and sells apparel directly to you. This explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We have kept it short because our practices are simple: we take your order, we ship it, and we email you only if you asked us to.
1. What we collect
When you order, we collect your name, email, shipping and billing address, and your phone number if you give it. Your card details go straight to Shopify Payments, our payment processor — we never see or store a full card number. If you create an account, we hold your login and order history. If you email us, we keep the email.
Our site, like nearly every site, records basic technical data automatically: IP address, browser and device type, which pages you visited, and where you came from. Shopify collects this to run the store and to give us aggregate sales analytics.
If you sign up for our email list, we keep your email address and whether you opened what we sent.
2. What we do with it
We use it to process and ship your order, to talk to you about that order, to answer your questions, to prevent fraud, to meet our tax and accounting obligations, and to make better socks. If you opted into our email list, we use your address to send you email. That is the complete list.
3. Who else sees it
Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments. USPS, which needs your address to deliver the package. Our email provider, if you are on the list. And anyone we are legally required to give it to, such as in response to a subpoena or court order. If we ever sold the business, customer records would transfer with it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We do not run the Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, or any other advertising or cross-site tracker on this site. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and put the opt-out controls in place before turning anything on, not after.
4. Cookies
We use the cookies Shopify needs to keep your cart, log you in, run checkout, and catch fraud, plus Shopify's own analytics cookies. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking the necessary ones will break the cart.
5. Your choices
Email hello@aposl.us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. We will not make you jump through hoops, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works, and we honor it within ten business days at the outside — usually the same day. You can also just tell us to take you off the list.
We are not covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act or the Florida Digital Bill of Rights — both apply to companies far larger than we are. We handle these requests anyway, because it is the right way to run a store.
6. How long we keep it
Order and payment records for seven years, because tax law requires it. Email list data until you unsubscribe. Support emails for two years.
7. Security
Shopify handles payment data and maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance. We use reasonable safeguards on everything else. No one can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
8. Children
This is not a site for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.
9. Where your data lives
In the United States. We ship only to U.S. addresses. If you visit from somewhere else, your information is processed here.
10. Changes
If we change this, we will change the date at the top and post the new version here.
